Maria did not like to be photographed. She only kept two photos close to her: the very first photo showing her on the arms of her mother, and another one showing her at the zenith of creative power in school. Both are on the title page.

Maria's attitude becomes apparent by the way she treated the photos produced from her children: She handed all of them over to Walter and Barbara respectively when they moved out from the parents' appartment.

So, the collection of photographs below is a surprise, originating from Maria's own children, her friends and former pupils (after more than a decade a couple of them gathered again (in German) and sent photos and audio recordings.)
